No Kings 2 Protest
On October 18, 2025, patriots across our country celebrated their love of democracy and freedom in over 2600 cities and small towns across the country. They gathered to speak out at one of the many NO KINGS Day rallies and made this the largest peaceful protest in the history of our country.
Each day Donald Trump reminds us why the No Kings day of peaceful defiance is so important. He's weaponizing federal law enforcement to prosecute rivals. He's trying to intimidate pro-democracy organizations he dislikes, including ours. He's ordering American troops to invade American cities. And he's proving every day that he thinks he's above the law -- not a president, a king.
But this is the United States of America. We Don't Do Kings.
In California we're fighting back against Trump's attempt to rig the 2026 mid-term Congressional election. Trump's policies are widely unpopular:
- Health care cuts
- Tariffs causing economic chaos and higher prices
- Cruel, secret police immigration enforcement
- Deportations without due process
Trump is fearful of losing the midterms in the US House of Representatives. He got GOP-controlled Texas to do a mid-decade redistricting of the House. The gerrymandered districts take away Black and Latino held districts and make them majority white GOP districts safe for five more Republicans to cling to the narrow majority ceding Trump king-like powers.
In California we're asking the voters to temporarily redistrict for Congress to offset Texas with five more likely Democrat seats. The state legislature called a special election on November 4th for the Election Rigging Response Act - Proposition 50 - for voter approval.
To hold Trump in check we must even the playing field and win back Congress by passing Prop 50.
