About Our Work

The purpose of the Comms Team is to coordinate messaging and assure the effective promotion of our organization's events and activities. We support the communications interface of all the other teams within Indivisible El Dorado, both internally and externally.

The Comms Team provides creative, technical, and administrative support. Our writers, graphic artists and photographers create content for a variety of platforms and drive PR campaigns and promotions. These platforms include email, several social media accounts, and a monthly newsletter. They write letters to the editor and press releases, and maintain relationships and a presence with local news outlets.

The IT division manages the technical infrastructure of the organization and provides various levels of tech support and instruction.

Help Wanted

We are looking for volunteers with a passion for our cause and experience or abilities in the following areas:

• Graphic arts and photography
• Event promotion and media relations
• Social media political activism
• Specialized knowledge of the challenges of algorithms and censorship
• Audio-visual support for virtual meetings and live-streaming events
• Web development
• Technical support (the suite of Google Workplace and associated apps including Squarespace, Mobilize, Every Action, Linktree, YouTube, and more)
• Administrative and organizational skills
• Experience establishing best practices and SOPs for all-volunteer organizations

About Our Work

The purpose of the Raucous Rural Caucus (RRC) is to turn communities in rural Northern California from RED to BLUE by working with YOU! We bring together community leaders, citizen groups, and individuals to identify priorities, work on SOLUTIONS to challenges common to the Congressional Districts - CA 5 and CA 3.

Our goal is to raise a COLLECTIVE VOICE to every level of government and advocate for smart policy solutions that identify the opportunities and mitigate the risks found in our rural communities, such as:

• Economic development that support small business and agriculture
• Infrastructure that improves our roads, bridges and access to broadband
• Healthcare access that addresses work force shortages and hospital closures
• Resource protection that celebrates our abundant natural resources
• Historical preservation that honors our Indigenous Cultures and respects ALL people who have called California "Home"

Our Team meets virtually each month to listen to subject experts, meet candidates and learn more about the growing movement to take back our Democracy! Joining the RRC is your opportunity to be a part of this community of like-minded people who move knowledge into action. See below for the kinds of activities that we’d like you to help us with.

About Our Work

The Take Action Now Team (TANT) organizes like-minded people to hold elected and other officials accountable through a number of actions that engage local constituents.

We organize protests, rallies, and community meetings to engage local constituents, promote activism and bring awareness to the horrendous policies and actions of the current administration.

Our goals are accomplished through organizing actions such as the "No Kings" protest on overpasses and bridges in El Dorado County. In addition, TANT works to increase voter education and registration, organizes visits to local legislative offices, and supports actions such as phone banking and canvassing. We have a variety of activities where you can make a difference.

As a TANT member, you will have the opportunity to become involved in a number of activities. Many are described in the earlier section. Others include group sign making, and attending protests and other "Visibility Events."

Our members come from a variety of backgrounds. Are you a long-time activist with years of experience? Join us. We can use your expertise. Are you a person who has never participated in activism but are simply fed up with the harm this administration is doing to our country, our friends and family? Join us. Bring your commitment to resistance and make a change. You'll find like-minded people who will support you.

Help Wanted

We have a variety of activities where you can make a difference, some of which are noted below.

About Our Work

The purpose of this Team is to align with the national Indivisible Truth Brigade in their program of combatting the misinformation and disinformation rampant in social media as well as mainstream media.

Our Team will participate in the messaging of the national Indivisible Truth Brigade through targeted messages on social media, long-form writing (eg. Letters to the Editor) or conversation with friends, family, neighbors.

Help Wanted

You can help with our targeted messaging and community outreach by such activities as:

• Writing an effective letter to the editor (LTE)
• Reaching out to members of the community (social media, meetings, etc).
• Talking with friends, family and neighbors
• Attend our local monthly meetings and use other knowledge gathering and strategy developing methods

Team members will need to be computer and social media literate OR be willing to learn how to use such skills (as modeled and supported by the organization).

Team members will need to join the national “Chapter” of the Indivisible Truth Brigade organization and attend their webinars. indivisible.org/campaign/truth-brigade
