We’ll Buy Lunch But Not Tom’s Baloney!

About 80 Indivisible members protested outside the Chamber of Commerce meeting in which Tom McClintock was a guest speaker. Inside about 5 of the 70 participants of the paid lunch were INDIVISIBLE El Dorado members. Representative McClintock spoke for 20 minutes and answered about 4 questions from the audience. When questioned about the ICE actions racially targeting brown residents, who now feel unsafe to even purchase groceries, his response was that ICE recently deported several Irish residents. In general his responses were dismissive and condescending, according to an attendee. The protestors outside were visible from the luncheon and it is reported that many passing motorists gave encouraging honks.
