Strategy: Winning the Senate

Winning the Senate

In 2026, the race to win the Senate will come down to voter turnout in eight key races. Volunteer turnout equals voter turnout.

What We Need To Do

Dems currently hold 47 seats with three seats considered vulnerable: Georgia, New Hampshire, and Michigan. Republicans hold 53 seats, but the blue wave has made six vulnerable. To win, we need to hold those three seats and flip at least four Republican seats.

With the current blue wave of enthusiasm and Democratic +10 pt overperformance in recent statewide elections, the Senate is within reach. Even adding a few seats increases our chances of taking control in 2028.

Our Battleground Candidates

If you have connections in these states, encourage them to volunteer locally. If you are volunteering remotely, these are our primary targets:

AK: Mary Peltola Link
GA: Jon Ossoff Link
IA: Josh Turek Link
NC: Roy Cooper Link
NH: Chris Pappas Link
OH: Sherrod Brown Link
TX: James Talarico Link

Remote Action: Phonebanking

If you do not live in one of the battleground states, phonebanking is the most impactful action you can take. Note: All times are listed in Pacific Time (PT).

AK: Mary Peltola Thurs 7-9 PM / Sat 3-5 PM PT Join
GA: Jon Ossoff Thurs 1-5 PM / Sat 10 AM-12 PM PT Join
NC: Roy Cooper Tues 3-5 PM / Sat 9-11 AM PT Join
TX: James Talarico Tue/Thu 4-6 PM / Sat 8-11 AM PT Join

Nervous about talking to voters? Watch this Active Listening Workshop on phonebanking basics.

Strategic Postcarding

We postcard through the Sincere platform via Activate America. This method is research-backed and focuses on high-potential voters.

Commit to Turnout to Win

Can you commit an average of 1+ hours a week between now and November? This is how we take back the Senate.
