General Meeting
January 25th 2026
Indivisible El Dorado’s General Meeting on Sunday, January 25, was enthusiastically attended by a standing room only attendance of 130 members filling the meeting room of the Federated Church in Placerville with another 20 on Zoom. Led by co-chair Jenny Wilson, we acknowledged and reflected upon the murder of Alex Pretti by ICE agents with a moment of silence. Several informative presentations followed, highlighting:
descriptions of the newly formed Congressional Districts resulting from the passage of Prop. 50
how we can find our own newly formed district 03, 05, or 07
names of the June primary candidates for those districts,
the results of the two surveys sent to members from Indivisible El Dorado with Indivisible El Dorado Candidate preferences, important issues, knowledge of candidates, political party affiliations, action priorities , social media preferences and much more.
There was also an opportunity for ACTION! Many people signed up on volunteer lists:
Migra Watch - supporting our community members vulnerable to ICE and Border Patrol, and related concerns.
Midterm Election work - canvassing, phone banking, voter registration, candidate forums
TANT (Take Action NowTeam) - Our ACTION committee in charge of events like NO Kings, sign making, local protests, vigils
Courage Collective - organize and participate-with a focus on National Indivisible actions
towards businesses that are complicit to the regime -think of boycotts like the successful boycott of Spotify
or groups who could support us : think churches, education
Communications
IndivEldo Socials - Get information for links to post. Then like, comment, repost, and share
Publicity -writers and editors for Newsletter, Letters to the Editor, news publications
IT / HTML experience (desired) - help maintain website, managing and working with Google workspaces manage Every Action requests. General google drive troubleshooting
Administrative Assistant - needs Google workspace experience
